Are you keen to make a difference in your community?

Lead the Way is MCCGC's Youth Ambassador Program aiming to develop and empower the next generation of community leaders. We want to help youth who are passionate about social justice work together to make a positive impact in their communities.

Why is RESPECT so important?

This program is delivered during school terms and focuses on CALD students aged 12- 18 promotes domestic violence prevention, gender differences in Australia, how to respect themselves and people in the community, cultural belonging and leadership. Soccer has been identified as a positive sport to promote health, team building and cultural awareness.


Our Colours, Our Stories

Want to learn about another culture in a non judgemental and safe space?

MCCGC hosts “Our Colours, Our Stories” multicultural workshops, engaging with CALD communities of the Gold Coast learning firsthand, diverse cultural customs and traditions. By encouraging the participation of local community members to facilitate, this is a successful way in promoting multicultural inclusion, empowerment and awareness in the community.


Waves Forward

The Waves Forward initiative engages Pacific Islands and New Zealand Maori Youth with cultural awareness training and career workshops in schools across the Gold Coast. The program explores Pacific Islands and Maori Culture and the impact of the Trans-Tasman Travel Agreement to increase cultural understanding and capacity in schools to guide the unique needs of Pacific Islands and Maori students.


These programs are fully funded by the Queensland Government under the Community Action for a Multicultural Society (CAMS) program.
