Why is RESPECT so important?

This program is delivered during school terms and focuses on CALD students aged 12- 18 promotes domestic violence prevention, gender differences in Australia, how to respect themselves and people in the community, cultural belonging and leadership. Soccer has been identified as a positive sport to promote health, team building and cultural awareness.


Our Colours, Our Stories

Want to learn about another culture in a non judgemental and safe space?

MCCGC hosts “Our Colours, Our Stories” multicultural workshops, engaging with CALD communities of the Gold Coast learning firsthand, diverse cultural customs and traditions. By encouraging the participation of local community members to facilitate, this is a successful way in promoting multicultural inclusion, empowerment and awareness in the community.


Youth Ambassador Program

Our Youth Ambassador Program brings together young people as community leaders to promote fairness, respect and a sense of belonging for Australians of every race, culture and religion.

The Youth Ambassadors Program focuses on promoting inter-community harmony and understanding as well as developing leadership skills and give a voice to young people on the Gold Coast.

Youth Ambassadors’ participate in community events, share information and develop resources to promote respect, understanding and harmony. 


These programs are fully funded by the Queensland Government under the Community Action for a Multicultural Society (CAMS) program.
