Train 2 Care provides our Gold Coast communities with the opportunity to get not one, but TWO qualifications:
The program includes a work placement for 3 weeks and one on one support throughout the course and employment support. The courses are fully funded for those eligible. Please check with us for eligibility criteria.
Enrollment for the 2020 program is now open. This is a great opportunity for those looking for interactive training in a growing industry. To be eligible you must be 15 years or older and be either a Queensland resident, on the pathway to residency, or a NZ permanent resident. For further information you can contact the Program Coordinator, Sharyn Allen, on 0428 870 648.
This Skilling Queenslanders for Work Project is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government.
Why cultural diversity?
The Gold Coast currently has almost 1/3 residents from overseas, with our training learn the value of diversity and add it as a priority in your workforce or organisation. Increasing your own awareness of diversity as an individual or group here locally will open doors for businesses, schools, government agencies and not for profits.

What do you get out of it?
Outcomes are a greater understanding of culture and how it goes hand in hand with all interactions we have. You will have the opportunity to build on your skills when working cross culturally and reflect on your own practices. We have delivered this training in conjunction with schools, not-for-profits, RTO’s such as Australian Red Cross, and Australia Industry and Trade College and look forward to working with you to tailor training for ½ a day. Options for 1 day training with specific cultural guest speakers or performers/workshops.
"Thank you for your fabulous presentation!
Your style is very enlivening and you did bring a fresh approach to delivering the content.
We all found the learning experience very enjoyable as well as informative. Your "hands on" experience with multicultural groups has given the volunteers an opportunity to raise their own awareness around communication issues that may arise in their relationships with clients and their families.
Thanks again , and we would love to have you back for next year training if you are available!"
Autumne Camidge, Training Coordinator (Tweed Palliative Support Inc.)

Cultural Advantage is an organisational audit that addresses issues of inclusion in the workplace. We provide a workforce consultation on diversity, identifying strengths, capacities and assets to support more diverse and inclusive workforce planning and recruitment, cultural competency and enhanced cultural conversations. The program helps you adapt current practices and workplace culture to be more inclusive of a culturally and linguistically diverse workforce and understand the value multilingual staff bring in terms of language diversity, customer service and skills.
