About the Opportunity:

MCCGC-CÜRA has an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and qualified Chief Operations Officer to help lead our organisation’s continued growth as a community care provider and Peak Multicultural Body. 

We are looking for someone who has a demonstrated ability to successfully lead operations and ensure continued quality improvement in evolving industries. You will be managing our Community Care and Community Development teams, so experience within both the aged care sector and multicultural space is highly desirable.

Change management will be key to the role as we prepare for the impacts of the election and the aged care reform. Experience working with Home Care Packages & CHSP is essential to ensure a smooth transition to the new model of care. 

Reporting to the CEO and working alongside the executive management team, the COO will drive the implementation of the organisation’s strategic objectives to achieve outstanding operational outcomes.

To be a part of vision the ideal applicant will need to demonstrate their experience working within the aged and community services, NDIS, Social and Community Development sectors.   

YOUR responsibilities

  • Leading a team of Senior Managers to meet the day-to-day operations of the organisation and service delivery.
  • Formation and implementation of strategy, including the development of initiatives, budgets, business plans and identification of risks and opportunities.
  • Contracts management and output reporting  
  • Organisational and contractual  reporting 
  • Continuous quality improvement management 
  • Internal and external stakeholder engagement and relationship development
  • Knowledge and understanding of the not-for-profit sector.
  • Change and project management.

 About YOU:

  • Degree in Business, Human Services and/or relevant disciplines or at least 3 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Strong leadership communication, and administrative skills
  • Applicants must be able to provide Key Personnel Statement for MCCGC Approved Provider requirement (Department of Social Services).
  • Must hold a current National Police Certificate and NDIS Worker Screening or can obtain one.
  • Must be fully vaccinated and provide record of evidence
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and display initiative, self-motivation, time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of working in the community, within the Aged and NDIS standards
  • Completed NDIS Worker Orientation and online COVID 19 training sessions.
  • Knowledge and experience in grant writing and funding submissions 
  • Experience and/or interest in working in a Culturally and Linguistically Diverse environment.
