Who We Are

The Multicultural Communities Council Gold Coast Inc. (formerly the Ethnic Communities Council Gold Coast) was established in 1983 by a group of volunteers in response to the growing number of migrants, new arrivals and refugees, especially those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Backgrounds (CALDB). The organisation was incorporated in 1986 with the charter to ensure that CALDB people have equal access to appropriate services for their health and wellbeing.

The MCCGC endeavours to respond appropriately to all community needs through the development of specific programs, services, networks and activities to facilitate and promote the wellbeing of the diverse communities living on the Gold Coast.

The MCCGC through its programs also attempts to prevent and eliminate any type of discrimination against CALDB people living on the Gold Coast. Diversity is our nation's strength.
