Wellness Centre

MCCGC believes everyone deserves to stay connected and active within their communities. Multicultural Aged Recreation Centre (MARC) provides centre-based activities using a clustering model, grouping clients of similar interests and culture.

• To provide a break for primary carer
• To promote social interaction and wellbeing from a centre-based setting.
• To provide opportunities to maintain an active role in their chosen community.
• To respect the client's right to privacy and confidentiality at all times.
• To provide a continuation of care as each client's needs increase.

We may help you by providing some time out for socially isolated, elders from culturally and linguistically diverse background and people who have a disability. The Centre operates weekdays between 9am to 2pm at "Wellness Centre" 1 Dominons Road Ashmore.

Activities - Interactive programs, Entertainment, Pet Therapy, Info Sessions, Art and Craft, Workshops, Quizzes, Board Games, Cards, Bingo, Bowls, Darts, Low Impact Exercise Classes, Pampering, Special Outings and Special Events.
Transport - Transport to and from the Centre and for our outings can be provided. A transport service with wheelchair access is also available.
Meals - We provide homemade morning tea and hot two course lunch.
Costs - Each client is asked to pay a small fee per visit which covers morning tea, lunch, transport and activities. Special outings can involve an additional expense.
