The African Communities Association invites everyone to come to
Tesfa on Saturday, 15 May 2010, at Albert Waterways Community Centre, Broadbeach from 3pm to 8pm. Tesfa’’s aim is to raise funds for two very worthy organizations in Ethiopia—the Fistula Hospital and RETRAK Street Kids Drop-in Centre, both in Addis Ababa. All proceeds from the festival, including admission fees, will go to the Tesfa Trust. Doors will open at 3pm and we look forward to seeing all of you there.

This free workshop will help you to understand and manage the finances of your community association and help you meet all your legal bligations. This workshop will include practical exercises and simple templates that you can take away and use in your association.
Session includes:
· Financial planning - budgets and cash flow
· Recording financial transactions
· Monitoring procedures- actual income and expenditure against budget
· Analyzing financial reports - balance sheet and profit & loss reports
· Financial reporting obligations
· Accountability to external stakeholders, including government, auspicing agencies and funding bodies.
